thye dun make rock songs the way they used to anymore. great pity. great loss. whatever happens to all the great kick-ass songs like those from firehouse, bon jovi, gnr, scorpions, metallica, aerosmith...

even the new albums from bon jovi and metallica have lost the old-skool rock charm that they used to once conjure. the kind teenage girls and guys wail along to during their periods of teen angst and heartbreaks, huh? huh? huh?

there are only so many old skool rock songs to listen to over again, which is partially y i think i m currently into nu jazz and increasingly finding myself tuning in to lush. partially cos of that, and partially cos that station and that genre makes me wanna just sashay calmly along even when i m running (stylishly) late, makes me wanna indulge in some good ol shopping therapy, makes me wanna lounge around eating choc-ladened cream cake in the company of female pals, makes me wanna go around in my heels all day despite the pain and don flirty flowy skirts all week.

or mebbe i m just growing older.
