2 teachers absent 2 days in a row, so yana had to go relief the classes instead of the usual routine of sitting at the back of my class for my induction program and observing the teacher i'm supposed to take over, while trying hard not to appear bored and fall asleep.

and during these 2 days, i nearly make 2 boys, 1 from each class cry for scolding them. sheesh.... i'm not that fierce wat? my friends can vouch i'm quite nice normally. even if u step on my toes, as long as its not on a 4-inch, 1-cm square heels, i'd forgive u. i dunno whether i m really that fierce, (i dun think so) i just raised my voice a little, well mebbe a little more than a little la, but i make sure i adhere to the no-corporal punishment rules. and after all, they were misbehaving. either that, or my judgement that they dun make little kids nowadays as hardy as they used to be stands true. all thanks to the ever-doting new age parents who think their little princes and princesses should be pampered like emperors and empress in the making.

until they meet yana the (acting only) maharani, that is.


all in all, the classes went smoothly. i prefer teaching to sitting at the back of any class, anytime. actually, i kinda enjoy teaching. i find myself looking at their textbooks and assessing how to come up with ways to liven up the class and make the lessons more interesting for the little kiddos. and also add in my own mix of useless and not-so-useless fun facts to 'awe' them every now and then. little kiddos, being little kiddos, are so curious bout everything, and they're so eager to please. tat part, at least, a nice change from the usual cant-be-bothered-in-class-cos-i'm-busy-trying-to-look-cool teenagers. bleah...class management is also a lot easier, after having gone through i-caught-him-smoking-n-i-caught-them-making-out sec sch teaching experience.

well, i'll see how as the weeks progress. for now, i'll concentrate on acting fierce to instil discipline first.
