heh... lovely long national day hols isnt it? 5 days for me.. 2 more days left. now its time to goody girl stay at home to help my mum and simmer her perhaps, increasing irritation for the fact that i've been going out these prev 4 days.. so yana plans to cook macaroni chicken soup and cheesecake to keep her happy for a while. y else would i be awake at ten in the morning on a public hol right? that accomplished, yana shall cabut out of the house again. heh...

long weekend spent taking grad photos with im at esplanade.




so wat if i graduated last yr? and tripped in front of some malay guys. heh. no outing's ever complete without some stunts from yana. i'll spare the details suffice to say its so malu-ing.

watched willy wonka. not bad la, a bit hindustan if u ask me. wats with all the singing every now and then. v colorful tho. not as dark, disturbing and depressing as i thought tim burton's movies will be.. a bit ott at times, but its all in good fun. roald dahl's stories are always a bit crazy anyways. but if ure watching the movie cos of johnny depp, i suggest u dun. cos he looks like a drag queen there. totally weird and crazy. not like the pirates of the carribean kinda crazy, that one still acceptable cos he still looks manly, but willy wonka looks just totally gay. at times, i dunno y, he reminds me of jessica alba. but perhaps the main irritation that i have with the movie are the midget characters from loompaland, who look irritatingly kenit (small and midgety) and who all have the same faces. as if one's not irritating enough. then off to kent ridge. havent been there for ages. enjoyed the ride, to say the least. and the view's rather scenic too.

then of cos, the sakura intl buffet at downtown east yest with mona and nurrul. i was so busy eating, i forgot bout taking photos when our tables were chock full of food. heh. only managed part of dessert goodies.

overall the food was ok la. just perhaps not quite my taste. i din see any crabs tho. they had live baby lobsters, but they were fast gone. i realised i wasnt a jap food fan as i originally thought i was. tho i must say, mona and i were pretty adventurous for newbies of raw food. i think i tried nearly all the raw stuff there. i nearly gagged on my raw squid sushi. urgh. and raw oysters remind me of slime and drain water. watever i dun quite like, i down with my salty shark fins soup. it masked all other tastes, u see. heh...

they do have an array of foodstuff to satisfy your palate. even the conventional diners. for those interested, safe bets include tempura and breaded prawns, potato salads, spaghetti, mashed potato, steaks, cooked seafood and other fried munchies. we din really take these stuffs cos, well, i could make those at home. instead, i went for the: unagi, sushis, teppanyaki, cawanmushi, and nearly all the raw stuff/sashimi there is: tuna, swordfish, shrimps, salmon, oysters, mussels, clams, crabs (sushi), squid and wat-not. the desserts not too bad itself. cheesecakes, cakes, and ice cream which are not hard as that in seoul garden, puddings, durian puffs and stuff. we stuffed our faces of cos. me particularly, for a full 2 half hours. and i couldn eat anymore the whole day. well, except for the strawberries and cream drink i got at starbucks later.

i love food too much. heh.

got home. caught my forty winks and off to watch fireworks with im n gang. and chin2 was there too. shes so cute and chirpy, she liven me up instantly. trust me, i was v quiet before that. was at the end of the night, with me being all shack-looking and sleepy, we managed some photos. i love it when my friends wear all bright colors. like yest. makes everything look so bright and cheery..
