hiber nation

this is gonna be a fast one. ive not been blogging so much NOT cos i dun have the time.. oh.. believe me when i tell u i have more time in my hands than the already-idyllic yana.. its just, well all the time that i used to spend on blogging is now spent constructively on sleeping instead. heh... well hey.. i get up at 445 every morn for my pre dawn meal and i can hardly sleep again before trudging to work. so, there. justification for hibernation habit.

was hoping to get a nice long dreamless sleep on a relatively cool sat such as this, but of cos... my mum was on the phone back n forth, chatting with my aunt and talking to everyone in the house (at 8 am!!!such ungodly hour!!!) who cares to listen about wat to cook when my uncle and his family come over to break fast this evening (since their unit in the same block as ours is undergoing internal upgrading works, so cant cook). shes also hyper and v v delighted at getting the chance to invite these 4 muslim foreign bangla workers for break fast later. they are currently doing the hacking work at my uncle's place. and like me, when she gets excited, she talks louder, she talks faster and she talks non-stop... heh..

hence yana awaken.

never never never never attempt to wake me up when i m sleeping. never. no phonecalls, no alarm, dun tickle my feet or say my name in a soft, coochy coochy coo-ey manner (which my sister sometimes does when she pretends i m still her 3-yr old younger sis. yes, she does that sometimes..).... in fact, keep at least 5 m away from my sleeping den (note the word 'den', cos when i m disturbed from my sleep, i literally turn to an irate lion fire-blowing dragon with red eyes..not a very wise thing to do, to disturb my sleep..)

i figure, when i log off, i'll try get a little nap again.

anyways, my neighbourhood is undergoing its MUP-main upgrading program, currently. and they would be doing internal upgrading works in my unit from the 25th onwards. wat luck. that means, my house will look like one of those makeshift shelters with plastic-covered furniture, newspaper-covered tops and cardboard-covered floor. no need buy those fancy table-top cloth and such. truly the in-look in my neighbourhood nowadays. no curtains this raya cos it'll be unimaginably dusty, no washroom either cos they'll be replacing that too. instead, we'd be given this portable toilet in our kitchen which we can use at night, but not during the day when they are carrying out the works. during the day, we supposed to go down to the communal toilet and bathe and shower and do whatever else there.

lesson: if youre coming to my house during that period, make sure u answer natures call before coming over.

if theyd started 1 or 2 days later, God help us, not only will we not have curtains for raya, but we'd be probably missing our windows too.

i dunno how we re gonna prepare the raya dishes, and we are definitely gonna have to prepare the cakes and cookies before the upgrading starts and it gets v dusty. imagine, the white powder on your cookie is not caster sugar, but debris.. heh.. shudder... no la!!! sheesh, i shouldn be scaring would-be visitors like that.. my cookies and cake all safe to eat k? approved by AVA. dun worry.. and i'd volunteer to be your meal taster beforehand: just dun complain if your meal happens to completely vanish in front of you. i'll also try to make tasty cookies, so better eat k?

hokay, so i'll nap now and wake up later to help in the kitchen n bake cookies. i have this wonderful list of all the goodies i wanna make before the upgrading starts. goodnite now.. *yawn

ps: "this is gonna be a fast one...". yeah right!
