.: wat a lovely fantasy

one of the few things that i d really love to do someday is to go grocery shopping for only the finest ingredients, and then stay home on rainy afternoons in my uber cool kitchen with my old-fashioned oven n stove, cake mixer and wooden spoons, my stereo blasting 1950s and 60s oldies and me happily making great-tasting yummies. in this kinda fantasy-tat-would hopefully-come-true-someday, everything that i cook would taste delicious and i could finish 3/4 of everything without gaining weight at all the wrong places.

and i d like to do this everyday.

heck i even know wat kinda foodstuff i d always have chock full in my fantasy fridge:

1. double cream (very versatile)
2. lots n lots of fresh button and portabello mushrooms (to sautee or bake or blend coarsely to make mushroom soup or for pasta n pizza)
3. cheese (parmesan, cream, mozzarella, the likes.. for cakes, pasta, pizza n on everything else really)
4. seafood: prawns, prawns, prawns, shellfish, crabs, crabs, crabs, cuttlefish
5. chicken
6. potatoes (to mash or bake or make salad: western n malay style, definitely for bergedil)
7. milk
8. strawberries and cherries n fresh fruit (blend for fruit juice, eat with cream, make pie)
9. lotsa good quality cocoa and baking choc (no brainer)
10. hazelnuts
11. yeast
12. all the hard-to-pronounce baking essentials like ovalette, n crisco, n cream of tartar, n the such.
13. ben n jerry
14. fruit juice
15. black pepper (i add them to almost everything)
16. butter
17. flour
18. pasta (for my own version, or carbonara, or bolognaise, or olio: first intro to carbonara n olio recipes courtesy of nana)
19. dressings
20. eggs
21. tomatoes (to blend for spaghetti sauce, mostly. otherwise, dun really like them)
22. herbs n spices
23....and how can i forget: chillies (ground, powder, fresh) largely also cos im loves spicy stuff. i d feed him those little chili padis everyday, i tell u. he no need eat anything else. i d eat all the rest of the food.

if only i have ALL of these ingredients EVERYDAY at my disposal, i d very very ecstatic!!

heck, i d even buy myself a nice little apron to go along with it. sigh, wish wish wish...

and while i m at it, i d like to learn how to make choc pots, and quiches and good cheesecakes and apple pies.

as u can tell, i am still looking at others food blogs..
