making waves

I lurve straight rebonded hair, cos I can curl it.

And even more so, I love being a girl, cos I can make such seemingly silly statements and still get away with it. Heh,.,

The guys dun get it..

Here, lemme explain.

You cant possibly straighten permed hair as and when u like, can u? the best thing about salon-permed hair, is perhaps, its time-saving factor? Whereby u dun have to comb your hair. The uncombed, messy look is the style ure heading for. But, with straight hair, depending on your mood, u can easily curl it using…curling iron! Woohoo! Watever took me so long to get them?

I must really be missing my curls, cos I spent nearly the whole night figuring how to fry them curly. Not good for hair and eye bags. But nonetheless, check out my luscious, toussled locks… hee..

Still trying to straighten out some kinks (pun intended)with these whole curling thingy .. somehow the curls always turn out as loose waves, which is exactly the way I love them, but wat if I want ringlets one day? Nana’s locks managed to stay springy and perfectly boingy even for 2 days, so I dunno. Mebbe it’s the size of the curling iron..

oreo Cheese(cup)cakes yesterday..

Recipe from the net, with of course, yana’s signature tweaking here and there…:

A:
500 g cream cheese
¾ cup caster sugar
½ tsp vanilla essence
3 eggs
Oreo biscuits (use some good ol agak-ration) I used the whole 135g pack.
50 g butter

B:
Good bitter baking choc
A little butter

(place the baking choc and some butter on a saucepan and double-broil til melted)

Method:

Remove the cream from the oreos and throw them away for good. ground the biscuits finely until they resemble kopi powder. Mix well with butter and fill the bottom of cupcakes with these. Bake at 170C for 10-15 min.

Beat the cream cheese til fluffy. Add caster sugar, vanilla essence, eggs and carry on beating well.

Pour on top of oreo crust.

Top each cupcake batter with some baking choc and using a skewer, make some abstract art designs and go bake them at 170C for 15 min. remove them from the oven when u see them rising to brim and u find yourself skipping with joy in front of your mum.

Voila!

Of cos, midway through, yana got lazy and sleepy and grumpy cos I was the only one left who hadnt eaten dinner at 1135 at night. plus i havent touched my bro’s signature wonderful golden fried chicken. so halfway through, I poured the rest of the ground oreo into the cream cheese batter instead of lining them at the bottom, thus giving the 2 versions of cheesecakes shown.

*grins*

As usual, when stocks are available, I packed some for im in my little pink lunchbox. Surprisingly, both mommy and im liked the latter version of the cheesecake better.

in fact, the latter tend to rise better cos the ground oreo acts like flour. its not as heavy as the purely cheese earlier one.

Which goes to show: u should always tweak recipes to your liking.

Verdict: yummy and sinful!!!!

Postnote: on second thought, I think, creaming the sugar and eggs, and beating the cream cheese separately, then mixing the two would yield better result.. I dunno. i main hentam je...
