met the gals today... was chilling out in coffee bean (which renders me irritable by coffee overdose now}. the cashier was unpretentiously amicable asking me how my day went n all. and she asked me if `i was from here`. and i thought for a moment, wat a strange question. i din know how to answer that, cos i thought she was asking me if i was from orchard... so i said no, then it hit me that she was asking if i was from sg, so u mumbled... `oh u mean from sg? yes.`

to which she replied`oh, u dun look local..`

huh?

n which country do u think i come from then? taking the liberty to rule out the possibility of looking like a chinese national, or a taiwanese or a japanese or an indian, for tat matter... that leaves me with indonesian, filipino or thai... lets rule out malaysian as well, cos if its so bloody obvious i look like a malay, she wont bother asking me that question.

given the 3 options, nurrul said i resemble filipino the most.

and this isn the first time. ive been mistaken for a filipino, thai, balinese, indonesian and chinese before. anything but good ol malay... or the boyanese that i am.. weird
