common sense: not as common as non-sense; not that common after all

one of the things that i find striking about im, even very early on in our relationship is his objectiveness. how he is able to look at the topic at hand and base his opinions not on emotions and preconceived ideas, but rather; based on logical rationale. some might say a logical rationale is still rather subjective, no? well his 'logical rationale' would come armed with scientific explanations, news articles or even, engineering principles.
you cant dispute those.

yet he is not always right and he is not ashamed to admit that. he might be opinionated, but he is also open to ideas claiming otherwise if you can just prove it to him. and by proving, i dun mean twist your words around and try to smoke through. he literally means: prove it. give him the hard facts-and please dun bother with the dubious hearsays from dubious sources.

ironically, he is paired up with: me. the girl who believes in rainbow fairies (tho my belief is waning by the moment). still, i wouldnt change him for the world. he is one of the few intelligent people i know who can actually talk sense (and prove it!) instead of just rasping groundless, emotions-charged bull crap for the sake of sounding intellectual. indeed, you cant sound intellectual without the intellect. he separates plain truth from unfounded fiction.

i am so thankful to have him as my guy and guidance. i love his intelligence and insight, yet he has never once impose his beliefs on me.

so i sound like a smittened kitten. but smittened or not, the fact remains- its hard to be objective in this subjective world.
