you know how when you are listening to a song during a significant moment, you would tend to associate the song to that moment everytime you listen to it afterwards?

well, you see the video clip i have at the bottom of the page? this was the song i was listening to days, maybe hours, before my grandma passed away. later on, i recalled putting this song on endless loop with the volume cranked up, on and on until i felt somewhat lost in some kinda trance. then i knew i had to stop.dave matthews band has to be one of my all-time favs.

they dun make good songs anymore.

bon jovi's 'this left feels right' sounds wrong! they sound radically different, and not in a good way. they take great songs, take away the very essence that make them glorious and expect them to feel right? i cant help comparing them to their former glories when i listen to them. where jon was supposed to belt his lungs out, he whimpered like a helpless damsel instead. i dunno why the songs sounded ok in irnny's car tho.

even the malay songs nowadays are, 'ngeh' at best. they would make a faggot-y mamat jiwang song, wrap it in all these serenading lyrics, grab some under-age boy to whimper, and i mean WHIMPER and ta-da! thats 'rock' for you. i still cringe when i listen to tomok after all these while.

wat happened to the golden 90s era when rock songs sound every bit the rock that they are supposed to be? when malay rock songs are classic-ly depressing and would never fail to rip your heart apart?

my fav malay song has gotta be: 'sentuhan kecundang' by ekamatra. you can be skipping around in your straw hat n your summer dress, holding a fruit basket in one hand and a butterfly net in the other, humming 'lalalalala' and feeling like the luckiest, most loved, naive daisy in the world- and you listen to this song, by then end of it i guarantee you would be curled up in a ball, cowering and whimpering and sucking your thumb, feeling like a manic depressive without his prozac. confirm.
