save the baby talk for babies

eewwllllll!!!!

you know, i sooo dun need to know all the besotted couple names tat you 'bestow' upon your other half? not in blogs, at least. referring to them as 'dear', 'honey' and 'darling' is the most that i can take before i go into a puking frenzy. not even 'sayang' (beloved). and even so, these should be used with caution. to be sprinkled sparingly.

let me give you an example of what gross me out: "mY sayang and i met todaE! mA sayang and i watch a lomantic movIe. i was holdin on 2 my sayang's hand n restin my heAd on my sayaNg's shoulder D whole tYme. Den, my sayang treat me 2 dinner. my sayang sEy i m gettin pudgy-*sulk* after Dat, i wen shoppin wiF my sayaNG. lastly, mA sayang drive me home. sayang, i saaaaaayyyyaaannnng my sAyaNG!"

turmoil in your throat yet? pass the bucket, please. (ps: feel free to swop the word 'sayang' with any sickeningly manja word that you irk)

ya la, i know i tend to praise im rocket-high at times too. but i dun address him with some funny, weird names, can? i do understand the urge for you to rattle on about your other half (to people who couldnt care less) even after 10 long yrs. trust me, i get that. sometimes, you are just so overwhelmed by emotions you need to pen it out and read it over and over again, even if it means you are the only one who would even care to finish reading your long entry. i totally get that.

but to repeatedly refer to your other half as my 'pumpkin', 'bucuk' (smelly), or even 'poopsipoocum' (whatever that means) is one more information i dun need. do you have any idea how many times i cringe to the verge of losing it when i read these? you can serenade your other half with all the lovey-dovey terms in person for all i care (i dun care). but the general public doesnt need to know tat. trust me.

its like cutting your toenails, digging your ears or applying makeup: you dun do these things in public. these are very private business. no doubt, a stubborn handful go ahead with them anyways. pretty much the same way the rest of the world go ahead and avoid these said few like a plague.
