thank you

the p-t conference went rather well, i would say. this despite noticing my throat progresssively going sore as the day progressed. while the day was pretty uneventful, there were some notable moments that made me feel all the pep talk and hair-tearing planning and prancing around (yes, i pranced around-sometimes) and shooting the evil eye and finishing tubes after tubes of markers only-to-be-erased-at-the-end-of-the-period worth it.

one of them parents nearly teared discussing how her child was motivated and had improved this sem.
and of all the things i could think of at that moment, i was wondering if i had to part with my last piece of tissue -_-, which i desperately needed... -_-
totally inappropriate, i know.

then i had a few surprises from parents of my unattentive kids who claimed that the girls enjoyed my lessons.
it must have been the prancing. (then why, oh why, were they unattentive?!)

and sincere expressions of gratefulness from parents that needless to say, made me go 'woohoo!' (silently), made me smile like an idiot and for which i would not trade even for 1o kilos of peppered crabs and scallop wings (and you know how i value crabs...)

today i relearn the power of simple utterances of thank-yous.
and i know that all the staying-on-to-mark-corrections-long-after-the-rest-are-gone and undereye circles and heart palpitations: were worth it.
