apparently not.. when i told nana about this, she furrowed her brows in utter perplexity and dismissed it with a 'damn funny la, you'..

but i did try.. and whatdoyouknow... for what its worth, this works better than a curling iron for its intended use.
plus, plus, plus, there's no insanely hot exposed area to fry the side of your cheek or the back of your neck with.... -_-

and if you're me, that is worth three plus-es.
