perfectly flour-less (well nearly)

of the things in our home i love, there's one i absolutely adore the most.

my oven.
not ours.
mine.
and i sure hope im is not gonna get anywhere near it (not that he would even dream to want to, of course), cos i'm just gonna chase him away with a muffin pan and a spatula. i'm possessive like that.

the oven, my ultimate luxury item. not a prada bag nor gucci shades.
not exactly a necessity, yet an absolute quintessential luxury.
for my moments of ambitious, gastronomic experiments. to feed our constant sweet teeth, savoury tongues and my utterly utterly gatal-miang-mentel-nak-mampos moments when i decide schoolwork and housework is simply not enough, still.

unlike me, this batch of nearly flour-less babies are absolutely dainty and so completely charming, both in texture and in taste.
flaky and crunchy on the outside, airy and moist on the inside,
flourless choc babies

200g butter
175g sugar
200g baking chocolate
4 eggs
1 tbsp plain flour
1 tbsp cocoa powder
baking powder

directions:

melt the butter and baking chocolate over a fire.
remove, and add in sugar.
cool a little and add in a lil bit of eggs at a time.
add in flour, baking powder and cocoa powder.
pour into greased little muffin mould.
bake for 13 minutes at 180C.

serve warm.
yum.
