all aboard

work's learning journey.

though quite frankly, the only learning that took place was the all-important lesson of never to be gullible enough to spend $30 per pax on this 30-minute trip.
especially not in these hard times. (rising oil prices may lead to world recession, so says news)
no matter how much of a spendthrift you are.
no matter how you think it'll be romantic to get suspended all of 165m above ground looking at scenery that is so-not postcard-worthy.

its not a matter of being overly frugal with the money, but its seriously not worth it.

i say, tak payah la.

you get a a whole lotta sea view on one side and acres and acres of high-rise as far as the eye can see, on the other. da, tu jer.

let's not even mention the rain that poured mercilessly and the flash of lighting in front of our capsule that jerked the wheel to a halt, (let's remind ourselves again), 165 m above ground. the air-con (the only ventilation there is) was cut-off. so there you have, 27 panic-stricken passengers, sharing the same air source, some of whom, started to flail their arms about, raise their voices in panic and thus, consume a whole lotta of the already-depleting oxygen faster than if they were to just stay calm and sit still, like me. -_-

we all got off with a throbbing headache each. a lack of oxygen, i guess.

not a very nice souvenir at all.
certainly not appreciated.
